I am learning to count on from 5.  I know to keep 5 in my head and count on from there.

"I can count 5 fingers and count the dots and get the last number." said Florence.

I am learning to use the illustrations to help me with the story.  I know to get my mouth ready to make the beginning sound.

"I can make the first sound and the last sound to help me read the word.  I look at the pictures to get clues." said Florence

We first sketched what we thought we looked like into our sketchbooks.  Mrs Scott showed us how to sketch all our features.  We used watercolour paints for our artwork.
